Everyone loves a gingerbread man. I love to use the gingerbread man design in my crafts. This one was made into a paper towel holder. It also has a small removable gingerbread man on top of the dowel which holds the towels.
Crafts were really going strong in my neck of the woods (Texas) in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. I opened my craft and gift shop in 1997 and did well until late 2001. That was when the craft business bit the dust. I hope someday the customers will return (make it soon, please).
Please send me a comment and share your thoughts on when you think crafts will be thriving again. I really, really, really would like to hear from you and hear your predictions on the future of the craft business.
Until next time, thanks for visiting!
He’s got a happy face. I’ll bet the kids like him, especially when you bake gingerbread.
Billy, thanks for visiting my blog. Yes, I think the gingerbread man has a happy face also.
I love him! So cute. I am a decorative painter too. I did my first show last December and it was a bust. No one appreciates the time it takes to cut and paint your products. I hope the craft business picks up again. I love handcrafted items.
Nicole,
Thanks so much for your comment. I was really thrilled that you liked my “Gingerbread Man Paper Towel Holder”. I still believe crafts (in some form) will return someday. I don’t think the creative nature in people will ever completely go away. There are so many good Blogs and Websites featuring handcrafted items and ideas. With Martha Stewart coming out with her new line of decorative paint will surely spark a new interest.
Do you still do crafts? I think you made my gingerbread girl paper towel holder and I need another!
I have looked all over America online for a gingerbread paper towel holder. Will you ever be making them again?? Please say yes!!!!!! I STILL haven’t found one!!!!!!!
I would like to know how much you would charge for your gingerbread paper towel holder if you were to sel them.
